The press release of the GMPLS controlled Optical Slot Switching (OSS) system experiment in Yamanaka Lab. was announced.

We worked on the demonstration experiment with Nozomi Photonics Co., LTD. which is a venture company having production bases in the USA, and leveraged the ultra-high speed optical switches.

In our experiment, reserving slot switch system is adopted - it reserves fixed length slot, synchronizing the switches and establishing the slot connections transparency. To reserve the slots, we were provided technical support of NTT-AT. We extended RSVP of GMPLS and implemented it - which is the first case in the world.

The slots are reserved up to 4096 at the same time.
