Title： Study on the Virtual Machine Migration Scheme for the Realization of Follow the SUN Data Center
Abstract：Recent years, the power supply becomes a problem because the number of users of the data center increase rapidly as cloud computing develops. In the world wide trend getting rid of fossil fuel and nuclear energy, it is hoped to use the photovoltaic power generation which is natural energy effectively. But, it is impossible to provide services at nighttime. By moving virtual machines according to the motion of the sun, the photovoltaic natural energy can be used effectively. Then, we aim at the realization of Follow the SUN Data Center which sends and receives virtual machines between geographically away data centers. In this paper, we consider the virtual machine migration scheme using existing techniques which solve the communication continuity problem between user and virtual machine. Also, we compare existing techniques, and we consider the possibility of realizing Follow the SUN Data Center.
