Title:Energy Optimal Network Topology Design Method by QoS Aware Link Power Management<\/p>\n
Abstract:In order to realize a green transport network, a novel traffic engineering concept is introduced. By aggregating traffic into specific links and powering off router\/switch interfaces, the physical network topology is dynamically optimized. In this paper, we propose a practical calculation method that can derive an energy optimal topology satisfying QoS requirements. Simulation results show that the proposed method can reduce 60% of energy consumption under 100 node network environment.<\/p>\n\n
